Security Engineering Manager

Job Summary

To support a team of engineers leveraging AI for security across web and mobile platforms, the full-time salaried Security Engineering Manager will manage the development and deployment of automation to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities while collaborating with various engineering teams across products like Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger.

Key responsibilities

• Influence and align the organization's vision and strategy, ensuring timely delivery of multi-year roadmaps and projects
• Measure team impact, set clear expectations and goals, and guide engineering practices for high performance
• Build and maintain relationships with cross-functional partners to effectively execute project work

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Security or Software Engineering, including 3+ years in technical management within security engineering
• Proven track record in supporting security research or engineering teams and managing complex cross-functional programs
• Experience with scripting in an interpreted programming language (e.g., PHP, Python, Perl, Ruby)
• Broad knowledge across security, systems design, offensive security, and detection engineering domains
• Demonstrated experience working across organizational boundaries to achieve company-wide impact
