Security Infrastructure Engineer

Job Summary

To enhance product security, the full-time remote Security Infrastructure Engineer will design and implement security controls across various layers, improve security features, and audit infrastructure for vulnerabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build security controls across cloud platforms, networks, and CI/CD to defend against threats
• Identify and implement security and privacy improvements in Tailscale's codebase
• Audit infrastructure for security weaknesses and drive solutions to resolution

Required qualifications

• Expertise in securing cloud platforms, particularly multi-cloud networks
• Familiarity with container security and authentication/authorization mechanisms
• Proficiency in at least one programming language, preferably Go, and Infrastructure as Code tools
• Prior experience in infrastructure security, security operations, or threat modeling
• Knowledge of operating system internals and common networking protocols
