Security Operations Analyst

Job Summary

Working remotely on a contract basis, the Security Operations Analyst will monitor security operations, conduct vulnerability assessments, and utilize Python for data collection and automation during night shifts from 10 PM to 8 AM.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze security operations to identify and respond to threats
• Conduct vulnerability and exposure assessments to enhance security posture
• Utilize Python scripting for automation of data collection and analysis workflows

Required qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in security operations or related fields
• Proficiency in Python scripting, with familiarity in DataFrame and pandas modules
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and tools such as Shodan and VirusTotal
• Experience in a security operations center or similar 24/7 environment preferred
• Valuable certifications include CISSP or SANS certifications
