Security Operations Analyst

Job Summary

Working remotely on a contract basis, the Security Operations Analyst will focus on security operations, utilizing Python for data collection and automation while working night shifts from 10 PM to 8 AM.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct vulnerability and exposure analysis to enhance cybersecurity measures
• Utilize Python scripting to automate data collection and analysis workflows
• Collaborate with the security operations center to monitor and respond to security incidents

Required qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in security operations or related fields
• Proficiency in Python scripting and familiarity with DataFrame and pandas modules
• Knowledge of open-source cyber intelligence tools such as Shodan and VirusTotal
• Experience working in a 24/7 security operations center is preferred
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP or SANS are valuable but not required
