Security Operations Analyst

Job Summary

Working remotely on a contract basis, the Security Operations Analyst will focus on cybersecurity tasks, including data collection and automation using Python, while working night shifts of 10 PM to 8 AM, four days a week.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct vulnerability and exposure analysis to enhance security operations
• Utilize Python scripting for data collection and automation workflows
• Monitor and analyze security incidents within a 24/7 operations environment

Required qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in security operations or related fields
• Proficiency in Python scripting, including familiarity with DataFrame and pandas modules
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and tools such as Shodan and VirusTotal
• Experience in a security operations center or similar setting is preferred
• Certifications such as CISSP or SANS are valuable but not required
