Security Operations Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Security Operations Engineer II who is skilled in addressing complex security challenges and protecting critical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor, detect, analyze, and respond to security threats in real time
• Lead incident response efforts from containment to recovery
• Harden servers, workstations, and network infrastructure using best practices

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of Windows/Linux administration experience and 3+ years in security operations, incident response, or forensics
• Deep knowledge of OS internals, firewalls, network security, and security frameworks
• Hands-on experience with SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability scanners
• Experience in MSP/MSSP environments is a plus; SonicWall experience preferred
• Additional certifications such as Security+, PenTest+, (ISC) Associate, or SSCP are preferred
