Security Operations Engineer

Job Summary

Joining a dynamic team, the full-time Security Operations Engineer will provide front-line coverage for security alerts, customer security tickets, and internal IT requests while working remotely to ensure effective 24-hour security operations.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the first responder for security alerts, assessing severity and escalating issues as necessary
• Manage customer security tickets, including account recovery and ownership disputes
• Participate in on-call rotations and support incident response using documented playbooks

Required qualifications

• Prior experience in technical support, IT helpdesk, or a similar triage-heavy environment
• Foundational understanding of security concepts such as MFA, identity verification, and access control
• Familiarity with IT systems like SSO, identity providers, and MDM tools
• Basic proficiency with a terminal, SQL, and reading scripts or macros
• Strong judgment and communication skills, particularly in customer-facing situations
