Security Operations Engineer

Job Summary

Owning the technical controls and operationalized compliance program, the full-time remote Security Operations Engineer will manage security technical controls, IT operations, and compliance initiatives to protect data and enhance security posture.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the operation of centralized logging/SIEM, investigating alerts, tuning detections, and building runbooks for action
• Drive end-to-end vulnerability management, including scanning, triage, and remediation across the technology stack
• Continuously improve the security compliance platform, automating evidence collection and implementing technical controls for compliance obligations

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with security technical controls and IT operations
• Proven experience operating a SIEM, including investigating alerts and tuning detections
• Experience with real audits (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001) and understanding of effective controls
• Practical experience in IAM and SaaS/cloud administration
• Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Bash) with a track record of maintaining developed solutions
