Security Operations Engineer

Job Summary

As a key player in a remote capacity, the full-time Security Operations Engineer will manage security threats, enhance security tooling, and collaborate with engineering teams to protect infrastructure and customer data against evolving AI-driven attacks.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to security threats across cloud and application environments, utilizing AI-assisted tooling for improved detection
• Build and maintain security automation and controls, ensuring compliance with established security patterns and best practices
• Partner with engineering teams to translate technical risks into actionable recommendations and contribute to the security roadmap

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in security engineering or security operations, or equivalent expertise
• Hands-on experience with cloud, application, and CI/CD security in AWS, GCP, or Azure environments
• Experience with security incident response and common security tools such as EDR and vulnerability scanners
• Proficiency in building security automation using languages like Go, Python, or Terraform
• Experience with AI/ML-powered security tools in a production environment
