Security Research Manager

Job Summary

Leading a team of technical security researchers, the full-time salaried Security Research Manager will drive R&D efforts focused on threat research, detection engineering, and behavioral analytics while remaining an active practitioner in a collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the technical leader for detection engineering and threat research, guiding the development of high-fidelity detections and behavioral models
• Conduct hands-on threat research and collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate emerging threats into actionable product capabilities
• Mentor and develop a team of security researchers, establishing priorities and fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with expertise in threat detection, security research, or related fields
• 2+ years of experience managing technical engineering or security research teams
• Deep understanding of modern attacker methodologies, including MITRE ATT&CK and various attack vectors
• Experience developing security detections and behavioral analytics for enterprise security products
• Hands-on experience with programming and automation using Python and related scripting languages
