Security Software Engineer

Job Summary

Focused on building and maintaining systems for threat analysis, the full-time Security Software Engineer will evaluate changes to the Threat Analysis environment, support the development of internal tools, and assist a research team in investigating malware and vulnerabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate and support changes to the Threat Analysis environment
• Analyze needs and create and support internal tools as required
• Support a team researching new and past threats, including malware and exploit kits

Required qualifications

• Experience with network traffic inspection tools (e.g., Wireshark, tcpdump)
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, VirtualBox)
• Proficiency in one or more scripting languages, preferably Lua or Python
• Experience building web applications, with a preference for React
• Database experience, including PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, or MongoDB
