Segment Producer
Job Summary
A company is looking for a Segment Producer for a morning news program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research, write, and produce editorial copy quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment
- Produce live segments, including crafting questions and selecting impactful elements
- Pitch relevant and compelling ideas for segments and manage multiple stories for regular and breaking news
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in broadcast, digital, or cable news, preferably in live programming
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience
- Willingness to work overnight and early morning hours
- Able to work flexible hours under tight deadlines, including during breaking news
