Self-Pay Representative

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Self Pay Representative to manage patient payment communications and account information.

Key Responsibilities

• Make outbound calls to patients regarding outstanding balances and payment options
• Educate patients on insurance responsibilities and negotiate financial liabilities
• Document accounts accurately in the EMR and establish payment plans within guidelines

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Passing score and certificate of required language from an approved vendor
• Prior experience in collections, customer service, or call center is preferred
• Knowledge of general medical billing and insurance is preferred
