Senior 3D Electrical Designer

Job Summary

Leading the development and coordination of complex 3D models for utility-scale battery energy storage and solar PV projects, the full-time Senior 3D Electrical Designer will manage multiple concurrent projects, mentor other designers, and drive improvements in modeling standards and workflows in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the creation and maintenance of 3D models and layouts in Autodesk Inventor for PV and BESS projects
• Approve technical drawings, deliverables, and design documentation while ensuring compliance with quality standards
• Provide technical direction and mentorship to 3D designers, facilitating workload coordination and project execution

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's or associate's degree in engineering, engineering technology, design, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• 8+ years of experience in engineering design or drafting, with at least 3 years using Autodesk Inventor
• Electrical design experience for large-scale power generation projects, including cable routing and equipment layout
• Experience coordinating design work across civil, electrical, and structural disciplines
• Proven ability to lead multiple concurrent assignments and provide constructive feedback to other designers
