Senior Accountant

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Sr. Accountant to support core accounting operations in a remote, part-time role.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records by preparing and posting journal entries related to payroll and benefits
• Reconcile bank accounts regularly and ensure cash activity is accurately reflected in the general ledger
• Support month-end close activities by reviewing account balances and preparing reconciliations

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience in senior-level accounting work with strong knowledge of general ledger operations
• Hands-on expertise with month-end close, including journal entries and account analysis
• Solid background in account reconciliation and maintaining accurate financial records
• Experience recording payroll and employee benefit transactions within the general ledger
• Ability to manage recurring transactional volume with close attention to detail and deadlines
