Senior Accountant

Job Summary

Senior Accountant, an experienced professional in a fully remote contract position, is responsible for leading year-end and first-quarter financial close activities, managing journal entries, and maintaining fixed asset accounting records.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead critical close activities for designated reporting periods, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Prepare and post a high volume of journal entries and maintain fixed asset accounting records
• Reconcile general ledger and balance sheet accounts, performing bank reconciliations and collaborating with stakeholders for financial reporting

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior Accountant in a deadline-driven environment
• Strong background in month-end close and general ledger accounting
• Hands-on expertise with journal entries, accruals, payroll entries, and fixed asset accounting
• Experience using Deltek WorkBook in an accounting capacity
• Ability to support project-based financial close work with high accuracy and organization
