Senior Accountant

Job Summary

To support a mission-driven organization, the full-time remote Senior Accountant will manage financial statement preparation, account reconciliations, and assist with external audit requests while leveraging hands-on accounting experience and strong analytical skills.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and perform account reconciliations
• Manage core accounting processes, including tracking prepaid expenses and payroll entries
• Support claims accounting by recording journal entries and preparing cost analysis schedules

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business
• At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience
• Working knowledge of financial reporting and budgeting systems
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check upon hire and throughout employment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
