Senior Accountant

Job Summary

To support a corporate team, the contract-to-hire Senior Accountant will manage the full cycle of invoice processing, oversee the accounts payable team, and perform month-end reporting activities in a fully remote capacity, preferably for candidates based in Houston.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full cycle of invoice processing and ensure audit readiness
• Review vendor invoices for accuracy and coordinate timely payments
• Reconcile accounts payable activity to the general ledger and support monthly close activities

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred
• Experience with month-end close activities and general ledger accounting
• Payroll experience and knowledge of payroll report reconciliation
• Experience with accounts payable processes and improvements
• Strong skills in bank and balance sheet reconciliations
