Senior Accountant

Job Summary

Owning the full accounting function and monthly close, the full-time Senior Accountant will manage high-volume transaction flows, implement scalable processes, and ensure compliance with revenue recognition and tax requirements in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the end-to-end monthly close process, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
• Manage and reconcile payment platform activity while developing scalable controls for transaction reconciliation
• Implement automation opportunities across accounting workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual work

Required qualifications

• 4-7+ years of accounting experience with strong ownership of month-end close and accrual accounting
• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks and Stripe or similar platforms
• Experience in e-commerce, SaaS, or other high-volume transaction environments
• Understanding of revenue recognition and accounting for complex transaction flows
• Familiarity with sales tax and/or VAT compliance requirements
