Senior Accountant

Job Summary

To support a mission-driven organization, the full-time remote Senior Accountant will manage financial statement preparation, account reconciliations, and assist with external audit requests while leveraging extensive accounting expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and perform balance sheet reconciliations
• Manage core accounting processes including tracking prepaid expenses and fixed assets
• Record claims-related journal entries and support accurate financial reporting and cost analysis

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business
• At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience
• Working knowledge of financial reporting and budgeting systems
• Ability to pass a comprehensive background check upon hire
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly advanced Microsoft Excel skills
