Senior Accountant

Job Summary

Owning daily reconciliations and month-end close processes, the full-time remote Senior Accountant will ensure the integrity of Zillow Home Loans' financials, manage journal entries, and drive compliance with bank lending agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily reconciliations between loan origination activity and warehouse bank funding, resolving discrepancies
• Act as the accounting liaison to warehouse bank partners, validating funding reports and coordinating system changes
• Lead month-end close tasks in FloQast, ensuring timely completion and accuracy of workpapers

Required qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including monthly close and reconciliations
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CPA candidate preferred)
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and general ledger accounting
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with large data sets
• Highly organized and deadline-driven, capable of managing recurring close cycles independently
