Senior Accountant

Job Summary

To support day-to-day general accounting operations, the remote Senior Accountant will manage foundational general ledger areas, coordinate month-end close processes, and perform budget-versus-actual analysis while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily general accounting tasks, including managing prepaid expenses, debt, fixed assets, and accrued expenses
• Coordinate month-end close schedules, reconciliations, and financial statement roll-forwards in accordance with US GAAP
• Conduct monthly budget-versus-actuals (BVA) analysis and collaborate with Accounting and FP&A teams on financial reporting deliverables

Required qualifications

• Prior professional accounting experience in a general or corporate accounting role or within public accounting/audit
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA license or active progress toward a CPA is a plus
• Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP accounting principles, including revenue recognition and inventory accounting
• Proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP systems, particularly NetSuite, is highly preferred
• Experience with Budget Variance Analysis (BVA) preferred, especially in consumer packaged goods (CPG) environments
