Senior Accountant

Job Summary

To support financial operations in a fully remote capacity, the Senior Accountant will create journal entries, analyze financial information, and prepare financial statements while ensuring compliance with GAAP and IFRS principles.

Key responsibilities

• Create and post journal entries while analyzing financial information and summarizing financial status
• Reconcile and analyze balance sheet and P&L accounts, supporting the month-end and year-end close process
• Prepare financial statements and assist with tax audits and internal/external audits

Required qualifications

• 5 - 7 years of experience as a Senior Accountant or Accounting Supervisor
• Thorough knowledge of general accounting procedures and GAAP principles
• Hands-on experience with accounting software packages (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLookups and pivot tables
• Multi-location experience; retail experience preferred
