Senior Accountant

Job Summary

Supporting the accounting operations for a growing construction business, the full-time Senior Accountant will manage the full accounting cycle, oversee job costing, and ensure compliance with U.S. standards in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Managing the full accounting cycle, including reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting for roofing and construction operations
• Applying job costing and work-in-progress principles to track project profitability across multiple active jobs
• Integrating and optimizing external applications with QuickBooks Online to streamline accounting operations

Required qualifications

• 3-5 years of accounting experience with U.S.-based companies; CPA certification preferred
• Proven success managing external stakeholders in a public accounting, client-facing, or construction accounting environment
• Strong knowledge of construction or job-costed accounting practices
• Experience with federal or government-funded project accounting is a plus, with training available
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and familiarity with tools like Slack, Google Sheets, and Zoom
