Senior Accountant

Job Summary

To enhance the finance function, the full-time remote Senior Accountant will manage day-to-day accounting operations, oversee cash controls and compliance, and lead the modernization of accounting processes while ensuring accurate financial reporting and team leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Own weekly AR and AP aging reviews, maintain strong cash controls, and deliver weekly cash reports
• Ensure filing accuracy and timeliness for tax obligations, manage equity administration, and oversee payroll accuracy
• Lead a disciplined monthly close process, prepare consolidated financial statements, and manage budget-vs-actual reviews with department leaders

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or active CPA candidacy strongly preferred
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including full-cycle month-end close ownership
• Experience with multi-state and/or international tax compliance
• Familiarity with equity administration platforms and stock compensation accounting (ASC 718)
• Strong Excel and financial modeling skills; proficiency with QuickBooks or similar general ledger systems
