Senior Accountant
Job Summary
To support key accounting operations in Clinical Trials and Research & Development, the fully remote Senior Accountant will manage clinical trial accruals, prepaid expense accounting, month-end close activities, and financial reporting in compliance with GAAP and SOX requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly clinical trial accruals and reconciliations in accordance with ASC 730
- Perform month-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Execute SOX 404(b) controls and contribute to process improvements in clinical trial accounting
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years of accounting or audit experience, with a public accounting/audit background preferred
- Experience in biotechnology, life sciences, healthcare, or pharmaceutical industries strongly preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- Advanced Excel skills required; experience with Oracle Fusion ERP preferred
- Strong understanding of accrual accounting and GAAP, including ASC 730 R&D accounting
