Senior Accountant

Job Summary

To ensure the financial integrity of a mission-driven organization, the full-time remote Senior Accountant will lead general ledger activities, manage financial reporting, and support project accounting while collaborating closely with the Director of Finance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead general ledger and financial close activities
• Prepare financial reporting and analysis
• Support audits, compliance, and internal controls

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• At least five years of progressively responsible general accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Demonstrated experience with month-end close, financial statement preparation, and general ledger accounting
• Understanding of revenue recognition principles
