Senior Accountant, Accounting Operations

Job Summary

Owning the operating expense accounting for a remote, full-time Senior Accountant, Accounting Operations, the candidate will manage budget vs. actuals reporting, oversee vendor bill payments, and prepare journal entries while collaborating with department leads to enhance financial processes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full operating expense cycle, including vendor bill payments and employee travel reimbursements
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations for month-end close in accordance with GAAP
• Partner with department heads to improve budget tracking and forecasting processes

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a fast-growing software or tech startup
• Hands-on experience with accounts payable, corporate card programs, and travel & expense processes
• Familiarity with modern finance tools such as Ramp, Stripe, and Navan
• Strong Excel skills, including the ability to build and maintain budget vs. actuals models
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
