Senior Accountant - Colorado CPA
Job Summary
To manage end-to-end margin accounting and reporting for a defined portfolio of customer contracts, the full-time Senior Accountant - Colorado CPA will oversee billing and collections, ensure accurate revenue recognition, and analyze profitability trends in a hybrid work environment based in Denver, CO.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze detailed margin reporting by customer and contract, investigating variances against budget and prior periods
- Apply revenue recognition guidance (ASC 606) to customer contracts, ensuring proper timing and measurement of revenue
- Compile and validate billing data to prepare accurate customer invoices, coordinating with stakeholders to resolve discrepancies
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably with contract-based revenue
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including revenue recognition principles
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Workday)
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a high growth environment
