Senior Accountant - Federal Grants

Job Summary

To support financial operations in a remote environment, the full-time Senior Accountant - Federal Grants will analyze financial data, prepare complex financial statements and reports, and ensure regulatory compliance while managing sponsored research reporting.

Key responsibilities:

• Evaluates and recommends improvements in accounting system procedures to ensure accurate application of accounting principles
• Analyzes, reviews, and presents financial information and summary reports, approving and verifying complex transactions
• Prepares complex journal entries and general ledger accounts, as well as formats and designs financial reports and schedules

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Minimum of 4 years relevant work experience in accounting
• Advanced knowledge of financial accounting practices and principles
• Demonstrated experience with regulatory compliance in accounting
• Ability to analyze and interpret complex financial statements and develop comprehensive reports
