Senior Accountant, IL Licensed
Job Summary
To support the Corporate Financial Reporting team, the full-time Senior Accountant, IL Licensed will prepare statutory financial statements, advise on accounting treatments, and collaborate with auditors, all while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare quarterly and annual statutory financial statements to meet regulatory reporting requirements
- Advise operational segments on accounting treatment and support internal and external audit processes
- Identify and lead process improvement projects while assisting with state filing requirements as needed
Required qualifications
- BA/BS degree in Accounting
- 3+ years of experience in financial reporting, with insurance or financial services experience preferred
- Familiarity with statutory accounting principles, US GAAP, and SEC filing requirements
- Experience with Workday Financial Management and Workiva is a plus
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Excel and experience navigating a large ERP environment
