Senior Accountant with CPA License

Job Summary

To support a growing SaaS company, the full-time Senior Accountant with CPA License will manage significant portions of the accounting close, including revenue recognition under ASC 606, AR, AP, and monthly GL commentary, while driving continuous process improvement in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own significant portions of the close, including revenue, deferred revenue, AR, AP, prepaids, and accruals, along with supporting reconciliations
• Be responsible for revenue recognition per ASC 606 and provide monthly commentary on Income Statement variances
• Serve as the main point of contact for accounting-related issues, including billing, payables, and expenses

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience, preferably a mix of public accounting and SaaS industry experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or similar hands-on work experience
• Solid understanding of US GAAP and its application to private companies
• Prior experience in personnel accounting with emphasis on variable compensation and commissions
• Ability to work independently and meet critical deadlines in a dynamic environment
