Senior Accounting Manager, Insurance

Job Summary

To support a growing insurance practice, the full-time Senior Accounting Manager, Insurance will manage monthly premiums, claims, and financial reporting while providing leadership on technical accounting matters in a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly premiums, claims, settlements, and internal and external reporting for all insurance products
• Play an active role in the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations
• Partner with senior management on technical accounting matters and process improvements while mentoring accounting team members

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience within the insurance or reinsurance sector
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and fundamental accounting principles
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex accounting processes with a high degree of independence
• Experience with international accounting and multi-currency environments preferred
