Senior Accounting Officer
Job Summary
To support the Director of Finance, the full-time contracted Senior Accounting Officer will oversee global accounting operations, ensure compliance with financial reporting standards, manage payroll processes, and enhance client invoicing systems while working remotely.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the Director of Finance to ensure accurate and GAAP-compliant financial reporting and lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
- Oversee global payroll operations, ensuring compliance with international regulations and timely payments to employees and contractors
- Manage end-to-end client invoicing and revenue recognition processes, collaborating with Sales and Operations teams for alignment
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required; MBA preferred
- CPA certification is strongly preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience with leadership responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
- Experience managing global payroll and familiarity with accounting systems such as QuickBooks
