Senior Actuary
Job Summary
Supporting the development and execution of actuarial models, the remote Senior Actuary will manage financial analyses for value-based care contracts, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and optimize data workflows in a fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities
- Execute recurring actuarial and financial analysis, including model development and program efficacy evaluation
- Build and maintain actuarial client relationships while managing end-to-end analytic functions for national payer clients
- Develop and optimize SQL queries to analyze healthcare claims and operational data for performance insights
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Actuarial Sciences, Economics, Math, or a related quantitative discipline
- ASA, or near-ASA with demonstrated progress towards credentials (4+ exams)
- 2+ years of actuarial experience in a healthcare environment
- Experience using SQL or another structured coding language to manipulate large healthcare datasets
- Proficiency in writing clean, efficient code and troubleshooting code written by oneself or others
