Job Summary
Supporting UN Resident Coordinators in conflict-affected settings, the part-time Senior Advisor, Programme Management will provide expert advice on joint assessments, national prevention strategies, and innovative financing for peace while working remotely until December 2027.
Key responsibilities
- Advise on strengthening collaboration between UN entities and International Financial Institutions (IFIs) for national prevention and peacebuilding strategies
- Facilitate joint assessments and planning exercises to enhance coherence in recovery efforts and strategic dialogue among stakeholders
- Develop analytical materials and policy inputs to inform UN-IFI cooperation and ensure inclusive programming practices
Required qualifications
- Advanced university degree in Political Science, International Development, International Relations, or a related field with ten years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree with twelve years of experience
- Professional experience in conflict prevention, peacebuilding, or international development
- Demonstrated experience with International Financial Institutions (IFIs) or Multilateral Development Banks (MDBs)
- Experience in strategic planning and partnership processes involving multiple stakeholders
- Fluency in English; proficiency in French and Spanish is desirable
