Senior Advocacy Advisor

Job Summary

To support nutrition policy advocacy for the prenatal-to-three population, the full-time Senior Advocacy Advisor will provide strategic leadership, manage relationships with stakeholders, and develop customized technical assistance plans, with the option for home-based work.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and project management for nutrition-focused advocacy initiatives, engaging external organizations and lawmakers
• Track and report on project metrics to achieve health and wellbeing goals while collaborating across teams to maximize impact
• Develop training resources and technical assistance plans to enhance advocacy skills of external partners and grantees

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in advocacy or public policy
• Experience in government relations and legislative affairs
• Proven skills in coalition building and community organizing
• Strong background in grant management and nutrition policy advocacy
