Senior Advocacy Advisor

Job Summary

To support the Voices for Healthy Kids initiative, the full-time Senior Advocacy Advisor will provide strategic leadership and project management for nutrition policy advocacy focused on the prenatal-to-three population, while working remotely and collaborating with various stakeholders to implement effective advocacy campaigns.

Key responsibilities

• Engage and convene external organizations and lawmakers to drive policy change for prenatal-to-three nutrition initiatives
• Track project metrics and collaborate across teams to maximize impact and achieve funder deliverables
• Develop and implement customized technical assistance plans to enhance advocacy skills of external partners and grantees

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in advocacy or public policy
• Experience in coalition building and community organizing
• Knowledge of legislative affairs and government relations
• Proven ability to develop training and technical resources for advocacy efforts
