Senior Advocacy Advisor

Job Summary

To support advocacy initiatives, the full-time Senior Advocacy Advisor will provide strategic leadership and technical support for nutrition policy advocacy focused on the prenatal-to-three population, working remotely and collaborating with various stakeholders to drive impactful health policy changes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and project management for nutrition-focused advocacy initiatives, engaging external organizations and lawmakers
• Track and report on project metrics to ensure alignment with health and wellbeing goals and funder deliverables
• Develop and implement customized technical assistance plans to enhance advocacy skills and support policy efforts

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in advocacy or public policy
• Experience in grant management and coalition building
• Knowledge of legislative affairs and state/local policy
• Proven ability to develop training and technical resources for external partners
