Job Summary
To support nutrition policy advocacy for the prenatal-to-three population, the full-time Senior Advocacy Advisor will provide strategic leadership, manage projects, and collaborate with various stakeholders while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and project management for nutrition-focused initiatives, engaging external organizations and lawmakers in policy change efforts
- Track project metrics to drive impact and achieve funder deliverables, collaborating across teams to maximize effectiveness
- Develop training and technical resources to enhance advocacy skills among external partners and grantees
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in advocacy or public policy
- Experience in government relations, legislative affairs, and coalition building
- Proven ability to manage grant-funded projects and community organizing efforts
- Strong skills in writing, public speaking, and training/coaching others
