Senior Advocacy Advisor

Job Summary

To support advocacy initiatives, the full-time Senior Advocacy Advisor will provide strategic leadership and project management for nutrition policy advocacy focused on the prenatal-to-three population, collaborating with various stakeholders and facilitating technical assistance plans, while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Engage external organizations and lawmakers to drive policy change for improving nutrition for the prenatal-to-three population
• Track and report on project metrics to ensure progress and meet funder deliverables
• Develop training resources and technical assistance plans to enhance advocacy skills among external partners and grantees

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in advocacy or public policy
• Experience in coalition building and community organizing
• Knowledge of legislative affairs and state/local policy
• Proven ability in grant management and effective communication with diverse stakeholders
