Job Summary
To support nutrition policy advocacy for the prenatal-to-three population, the full-time Senior Advocacy Advisor will provide strategic leadership, project management, and technical assistance while collaborating with various stakeholders and managing relationships with nutrition funders in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage nutrition-focused project initiatives for Voices for Healthy Kids, engaging community groups and lawmakers to drive policy changes
- Track and report on project metrics, ensuring alignment with funder deliverables and maximizing impact across advocacy teams
- Develop and implement training and technical resource tools to enhance advocacy skills among external partners and grantees
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in advocacy or public policy
- Experience in government relations and legislative affairs
- Proven skills in coalition building and community organizing
- Strong writing and public speaking abilities
