Job Summary
To support strategic nutrition policy advocacy for the prenatal-to-three population, the full-time Senior Advocacy Advisor will provide leadership, technical assistance, and project management while collaborating with various stakeholders, with the option for home-based work.
Key responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and project management for nutrition-focused initiatives, engaging external organizations and lawmakers to drive policy change
- Track and report on project metrics to ensure accountability and achieve funder deliverables related to PN-3 nutrition advocacy
- Develop collaborative relationships with experts and advocacy entities to enhance nutrition policy development and implementation
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in advocacy or public policy
- Experience in government relations and legislative affairs
- Demonstrated ability in coalition building and community organizing
- Proficiency in grant management and advocacy communications
