Senior Adyen Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Adyen Engineer for a contract position.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the Adyen SME, guiding engineering teams on best practices across Checkout API, tokenization, webhooks, and dispute management
• Provide architectural review and integration design support for payment systems and downstream dependencies
• Advise on token vault migration strategy, including re-tokenization and coexistence with legacy PSPs

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering or payment systems
• 3+ years of hands-on Adyen experience (Checkout API, tokenization, webhooks, etc.)
• Strong background in payment gateways / PSP integrations
• Experience with payment platform migrations or transformation programs
• Solid understanding of tokenization & payment flows, 3DS / authentication flows, and PCI DSS
