Senior Aerospace Systems Engineer

Job Summary

To support the development of advanced aerospace systems, the contract Senior Aerospace Systems Engineer will focus on architecture, design, and requirements in alignment with ARP4754A, operating remotely while collaborating with cross-functional teams and leading system architecture efforts.

Key responsibilities

• Decompose high-level requirements into detailed system requirements and oversee validation and verification (V&V) activities
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for internal stakeholders and manage key deliverables, including system test planning and execution
• Collaborate with electrical and software teams to ensure cohesive and compliant designs while driving high-level problem statements to resolution

Required qualifications

• Experience with communication protocols such as Ethernet, CAN, SPI, and I2C
• Familiarity with software development and DO-178 certification processes (DAL D up to DAL B)
• Hands-on experience in automated unit testing and integrated system-level testing
• Basic experience using electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes and digital multimeters
• Knowledge of mitigation strategies for Single Event Effects (SEE) in satellite or space-based systems
