Senior Agent Engineer

Job Summary

Driving the technical direction for agent engineering, the full-time remote Senior Agent Engineer will design and optimize multi-step agentic systems, enhance model performance, and ensure cost-effective solutions for code understanding products.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement multi-step, tool-using agent loops for reliable and observable product experiences
• Evaluate and optimize model selection, upgrades, and training to improve performance and reduce costs
• Lead the team in establishing evaluation metrics and processes to ensure product quality and efficiency

Required qualifications

• Proven experience in agent engineering, including building, training, and evaluating models in production
• Strong software engineering skills with proficiency in backend and frontend technologies such as Go and TypeScript
• Experience designing and implementing multi-step agentic systems that are reliable and cost-effective
• Ability to operate autonomously on ambiguous problems and drive high-technical-risk projects end-to-end
• Demonstrated mentorship capabilities, helping to elevate the team's technical skills and agent engineering fluency
