Senior AI Engineer

Job Summary

To design, build, and deploy production-grade AI systems, the contract Senior AI Engineer will work remotely, focusing on developing conversational AI solutions, constructing workflows using Large Language Models, and integrating AI solutions with enterprise systems.

Key responsibilities

• Develop conversational AI solutions, including chatbots and voice assistants, emphasizing multi-turn conversation design
• Build and orchestrate multi-step workflows using Large Language Models (LLMs) and prompt chains
• Create AI agents that utilize tools and APIs, designing workflows with complex decision-making logic

Required qualifications

• Experience building end-to-end AI systems and delivering production-grade solutions for real users with real data
• Hands-on experience with LLM platforms such as OpenAI or Azure OpenAI, including prompt engineering
• Proven ability to design and implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines and agentic systems
• Demonstrated experience integrating AI solutions with enterprise systems and external services via APIs
• Strong understanding of HIPAA, data privacy, and the requirements of regulated systems from experience in healthcare or similar environments
