Senior AI Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Senior AI Engineer will design, build, and operationalize AI products, collaborating within small embedded AI pods to enhance SNHU's learning and operational capabilities while mentoring engineers and shaping AI practices across teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and ship AI solutions, including agent orchestration and system integrations
• Oversee architectural decisions and create documentation to ensure maintainability post-engagement
• Implement agent patterns and evaluation frameworks while collaborating with host teams to enhance their AI capabilities

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience shipping and operating production software in modern programming languages
• Production experience in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Hands-on experience with large language models (LLMs) and designing agentic systems
• Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (CDK, Terraform) and CI/CD practices
• Experience with relational databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle
