Senior AI Engineer

Job Summary

To support the development of the first robotic foundation model for defense, the remote Senior AI Engineer will design, train, and evaluate multimodal foundation models for multi-robot mission execution while collaborating across engineering and robotics teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, train, and evaluate multimodal foundation models enabling multi-robot mission execution
• Drive model development decisions informed by rigorous experimentation and data curation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI systems with onboard autonomy stacks

Required qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on experience building and deploying AI models, including 2+ years with multimodal models or agentic AI systems
• Proficiency in Python, PyTorch, and modern machine learning infrastructure
• Experience training and evaluating large-scale deep learning models using distributed compute infrastructure
• Solid grasp of modern model training techniques including SFT, DPO, and RLVR
• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
