Senior AI Engineer

Job Summary

To develop and deploy innovative AI solutions, the contract-to-hire Senior AI Engineer will design, build, and maintain production-grade applications using Generative AI and modern software engineering practices in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain production-grade Generative AI, Agentic AI, and machine learning applications
• Develop evaluation and testing approaches to measure model performance and improve solution quality
• Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate AI capabilities into client systems

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
• 5+ years of software engineering, applied AI, or machine learning experience, with at least 1 year in production-grade Generative AI solutions
• Hands-on experience with modern AI systems, including LLMs and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)
• Proficiency in Python and experience building cloud-native applications on AWS or GCP
• Experience evaluating AI system quality using metrics and human review
